When V asked me to photograph A's baptism, I was excited since I'd never photographed a baptism before. Sure, I'd been to a few, but never shot one, much less an Romanian Orthodox Baptism! In orthodox baptisms the godmother plays a large role in the ceremony. And by large role, I mean she's involved in most of the ceremony. It was a fascinating ceremony to watch (and, of course, to photograph) as A received several sacraments. He's a happy little guy, but the full submersion into the water was too much, even for him!
The after party had a fun nautical theme and the Romanian food - and wine - was delicious!
