I met Marianne online back in 2001. You know, back before meeting strangers from the internet in person was the norm. Remember those days? #WhenDidIGetSoOld? We bonded over a shared love of Disney (she and her husband met working in the Canada pavilion in Disney’s college program) and have stayed friends over the years. So I was super excited to get the chance to see her in person again and photograph her family on their recent Disney vacation! They stayed at Wilderness Lodge and we had a blast doing photos around the resort!
I photographed Stephanie and Chris’ Leu Gardens wedding last year and was thrilled to learn that they’re expecting a new addition to their family! They’ll soon be welcoming a baby boy, turning their family of three into a family of four. We took some super fun maternity photos at Lake Louisa State Park, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite locations for photo shoots!
I love photographing big extended families! Seeing grandma and grandpa surrounded by the family the created is just the sweetest thing if you ask me! We’ve got three generations in these photos and oh my goodness, how sweet are the two littlest ones? At just four and six months old they were perfect angels at the shoot!
10 years. That’s a long time, yet somehow it’s gone by in the blink of an eye! 10 years ago this month I photographed Kim + Mike’s wedding at the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens. We recently got together — along with their seven year-old son, Mason — for their 10th anniversary portrait session. During our session, Mike sweetly surprised her with a new ring!
