This little dude recently turned four and had an impressive Hot Wheels-themed birthday party. His mom did an amazing job with the decor—can you believe she handmade that giant 4?—and Addie Cakes created that awesome looking (and tasting) cake! When they weren’t bouncing in the bounce house, party goers were creating their own works of art using Hot Wheels cars to paint, and were custom coloring their own cars with markers. I’m not sure about the kids, but I certainly slept well post-party!
I met Marianne online back in 2001. You know, back before meeting strangers from the internet in person was the norm. Remember those days? #WhenDidIGetSoOld? We bonded over a shared love of Disney (she and her husband met working in the Canada pavilion in Disney’s college program) and have stayed friends over the years. So I was super excited to get the chance to see her in person again and photograph her family on their recent Disney vacation! They stayed at Wilderness Lodge and we had a blast doing photos around the resort!
10 years. That’s a long time, yet somehow it’s gone by in the blink of an eye! 10 years ago this month I photographed Kim + Mike’s wedding at the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens. We recently got together — along with their seven year-old son, Mason — for their 10th anniversary portrait session. During our session, Mike sweetly surprised her with a new ring!
I love photographing families year after year and watching them grow and change. Look how little the girls were the first time I photographed them! They're still as adorable (and sassy!) as ever and their obvious adoration of their baby sister warms my heart!
