Casa Feliz weddings are some of my favorites! Also known as the Robert Bruce Barbour House, Casa Feliz is a wedding venue located in Winter Park, Florida. Built in 1932, the Spanish-style farmhouse was designed by James Gamble Rogers II.
History of Casa Feliz
The Andalusian-style masonry farmhouse faced demolition in 2000. Private donations were raised to save the home and it was moved to its current location on the Winter Park Golf Course. After that it was restored to its original design.
Casa Feliz holds up to 120 guests for weddings and special events.
Getting Ready
To get ready before your wedding there are two beautifully decorated hospitality suites. The suites are located up the curved staircase and have balcony access. The balcony overlooks a cozy courtyard. The courtyard is the perfect spot for photos. For instance, if you’re doing a first look it’s a great private spot! Then it’s off to your wedding ceremony!
Ceremony
Wedding ceremonies are typically held in front of the house facing Park Avenue. Or they can be held in the rear of the home in the courtyard. The whitewashed brick and Spanish roof tiles make a beautiful backdrop for weddings. The house and surrounding gardens also give Casa Feliz a dreamy vibe! Smaller wedding ceremonies can be held indoors.
Reception
After your ceremony, your wedding reception can be held indoors or in the courtyard. The courtyard can be tented in case of inclement weather, which is strongly recommended. Arthur’s Catering is the exclusive caterer for wedding receptions at Casa Feliz.
What if it Rains?
Because the venue used to be a house, the main floor is comprised of individual rooms. It’s part of the venue’s old-world charm! Smaller ceremonies can be held indoors. However, renting a tent is strongly suggested if you’re planning an outdoor reception. Especially during Florida’s rainy season! (In other words, the summer!)
Rates
Rental pricing starts at $1500 (Mon-Thurs, during the summer) and goes up to $3750 for weekend rentals during peak season.
In addition to weddings and events, Casa Feliz is open for live music and tours on Sunday afternoons. (Check their site for updates due to Covid)
Real Weddings at Casa Feliz
Kevin + Jisun
The couple had a beautiful wedding ceremony in front of Casa Feliz, facing Park Avenue. Following the ceremony, their cocktail hour took place inside. Their reception was then held in the outdoor courtyard. Pink peonies and delicate details were the perfect accents for this stunning wedding venue!
White floral and elegant lavender touches made this rainy day wedding feel cheerful and bright! The couple’s sunny smiles didn’t hurt either! Casa Feliz does not allow sparklers, so glow wands are a perfect alternative!

Guatemalan sweets were incorporated into this beautiful wedding reception as a way to honor Diana’s heritage. The couple had their wedding ceremony at a local church, then had their wedding reception at Casa Feliz.
